IATA (International Air Transport Association) have developed a new distribution standard for airlines to be able to become retailers and close the gap between tech capacity on their own channels vs. intermediaries. I supported a series of hackathon across 3 continents (America, Europe, Asia). The goal was to educated on the new standard, to demonstrate what new solutions could be brought to life, and I mentored teams of hackers as a business travel Subject Matter Expert. I was a judge in the Madrid edition, and have created a white paper after the event aimed at educating the industry and at sparking conversation.
